Rusty Stachlewitz is a graduate of Michigan State University holding a BS in Crop and Soil Science with an Emphasis on Turfgrass Management.  He has worn many hats in his career.  Starting his path in Golf Course Management, he worked his way up to Director of Operations for a company that owned several Golf Facilities.  He has run Turfgrass Management Degree programs at both Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, SD and Kishwaukee College in Malta, IL.

He was the Executive Director of the Midwest Sod Council and Sod Growers of Mid-America.  Once Program Director of The Lawn Institute, taking on the task of being The International Lawn Expert.  He has written countless magazine and web articles and contributed to books and podcasts alike.  Rusty has been in consultative sales with Advanced Turf Solutions for the last 14 years.  He is currently the companies Seed Product Manager, responsible for sourcing seed for the 23 ATS locations.
