Chrissy Balk is a Plant Pathologist and Technical Advisor for The Davey Tree Expert Company in Kent, Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University in Biology, and her Master’s degree from The Ohio State University in Plant Pathology. 

At Davey, her main job duties include regional office support, training/teaching Davey (and non-Davey) employees, research, professional presentations, outreach, and writing/editing scientific articles. Chrissy specializes in wood decay fungi and tree risk assessments.
