Boxwood Alternatives in Design

Boxwood, without question, is the “Go-To” plant for hedges, borders and/or as a supportive backdrop for more colorful herbaceous attractions. The Polar Vortex and other recent environmental events have cast a cloud over its widespread use and challenge designers to find more suitable alternatives. 

Let’s examine the traits that have elevated Boxwood to stardom and look for companions to share in the limelight.
