For over 50 years, MDC Contracting has been instrumental in the development of communities and their infrastructure all throughout Northern Michigan and beyond.
 
Growth is in our blood and we are expanding our business to include a landscape supply yard and retail center. To do this, we are currently seeking a Landscape Supply Yard Manager to help us build and manage the new operation, Manthei Supply. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and organizing the yard layout, inventory setup, and strategic plan for launching and growing the new division.

Snapshot of Duties

• Drive operational plans and goals by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; and resolving problems
• Help integrate products into the yard and help promote them effectively to the design community, contractors, and retail customers
• Have and retain extensive knowledge with natural stone, manufactured products, mulch, aggregate, lighting, fertilizer & lawn products, masonry products, etc.
• Understand contract specifications and ensures they are met while maintaining customer service and ensuring their satisfaction
• Maintain clean and orderly inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies for uninterrupted production activities through efficient ordering and cost management
