Michigan Wood Fibers is looking for an experienced, full-time, year-round, 1st shift Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Zeeland, MI. No work day is the same and the work is never dull. You have the opportunity to run front-end loaders as well as learn new equipment like tub grinders and more!
Due to the seasonal nature of our business, we tend to work overtime during the Spring & Summer but keep busy with full time hours year round. This position of Heavy Equipment Operation is ideal for someone with prior experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks ahead, and sees the big, overall picture of the process.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator with Michigan Wood Fibers, you must be:
• Full-Time first shift schedule - consistent overtime starts in March, runs through early summer and includes Saturdays (periodic overtime throughout the rest of the year)
• Capable of occasional heavy lifting - up to 50 lbs
• Attentive to details
• Strongly committed to safety
• Respectful of company equipment as if it were your own
• Able to meet pre-employment requirements - criminal background check, motor vehicle check, physical and drug screen test
• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
