"What the World Needs Now:" Increasing Urban Tree Survival - GGOL-AB
It is estimated by 2030 only 10% of the world’s forests will be remaining at the current rate of cutting. Today 80% of Canadians and Americans live in the urban environment and are increasingly concerned about the health of the urban forest. Particularly high plant mortalities occur in high stress environments such as along highways and street trees. This presentation will focus on the benefits of trees, at what age those benefits are reached and new research regarding what can be done to increase tree survival.
