Properly maintained turfgrass provides functional, ornamental, and recreational benefits by controlling erosion and filtering toxins, adding aesthetic value to the landscape and providing a playable surface for athletic events. However, over time, conditions may become intolerable leaving homeowners and turfgrass managers with a decision of how to improve their turfgrass areas. Renovations can be as simple as improving/adding cultural practices or as complicated as complete renovations. All of which will be the focus of this discussion.
