This programs offers attendees an overview of current and proposed trucking regulations that have a significant impact on the nursery and landscape industry.
Mr. Edwards’ transportation career began in 1974 with the U.S. Department of Transportation. In 1980 he move to the private sector where he specialized in operations, claims and safety. In 1990 he was recruited by the Michigan Trucking Association and the Michigan Truck Safety Commission to help establish a comprehensive safety program for Michigan motor carriers. His current work with the Michigan Center for Truck Safety involves safety workshops, seminar and presentations, program development and onsite safety training services for motor carrier throughout the state.
Mr. Edwards is recognized, by the trucking industry and the regulatory community, as an expert on truck safety regulations, and was presented with a special commendation from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration for his years of service to the trucking industry.
