Troubleshooting Irrigation System Coverage Deficiencies - GGOL-E
The site manager and maintenance personnel are responsible for the overall appearance and health of the landscape. The site’s irrigation system has an enormous impact on plant health and aesthetics. Often, those charged with it’s management have little to no understanding of the factors potentially causing those infamous “brown spots” or wilting plants. This session will introduce a checklist of “to-dos” that should be followed BEFORE adjusting the watering time at the controller.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Evaluate head spacing and nozzle selection
- Determine current condition of components and the potential need for repair or replacement
- Inspect the water supply for possible flow and/or pressure changes
- Look at the entire plant – soil – water relationship for the true cause of the coverage problem
