Knowing key facts about soils can make the difference between success and failure. This seminar will include basic information on soils, dealing with problem soils, soil testing and plant analysis.
John Dahl grew up on a farm in western Michigan. He has B.S. and M.S. degrees from MSU's Crop and Soil Sciences Department and has been a specialist in the department and manager of the MSU Soil and Plant Nutrient Lab for the past 27 years. John received a John Hannah Award in 2000 from MSU Extension for "Outstanding Programming in the SE Michigan Urban Watershed Soil Testing Initiative". In his spare time John is coordinating a community garden at Northpointe Community Church.
