Fertilizer applications are the most common applications made regularly to turfgrass. This presentation will provide a brief overview of fertilizer products, rates, and application frequencies including discussion on what makes a fertilizer idiot proof.

Kevin W. Frank, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Extension Turf Specialist at Michigan State University. He holds degrees from the University of Wyoming and the University of Nebraska. Frank’s research interests include turfgrass nutrition and fertilizer programming, nitrogen and phosphorus fate, winterkill prevention and irrigation programming.
