Jan 10 2012 - 8:00am

The aesthetic quality of a home lawn or playability of an athletic field can be compromised by a myriad of different turfgrass pathogens. Cool season turf species are susceptible to various fungal diseases, many of which require unique cultural and chemical management tactics. This seminar will discuss some of the most important disease issues on home lawns and athletic fields in Michigan, as well as cover some key aspects of management and control. The seminar will also showcase and introduce the new user-friendly website www.msuturfdiseases.net, which profiles key turfgrass diseases, and incorporates a virtual disease identification tool for disease problem diagnostics.
