Mark Cornwell

Mark Cornwell is President of Sustainable Salting Solutions, LLC, a company dedicated to helping winter maintenance professionals advance new strategies and tools to improve cost savings and public safety.

Mark has been active in all aspects of winter maintenance best practices since 1995 when he chaired a multi stakeholder salt reduction team at the University of Michigan. In 2002 Mark left the University for the private sector to work in liquid deicing chemicals and then with an advanced salt spreading system from Europe.

Mark has proposed countless initiatives throughout the Midwest promoting the value of a cooperation and collaboration as the means to share knowledge and experience thereby fast tracking implementation of sustainable winter maintenance practices.
