John Eggelston

John Eggleston is a Certified Irrigation Designer in Residential, Commercial, and Golf, a Certified Irrigation Contractor, Certified Irrigation Auditor, and an Ambassador for the Irrigation Association. He recently assisted in the formation of PLANET’s new Irrigation and Water Management Specialty Group and currently serves as it’s Chair.

John has been in the Irrigation Industry for thirty five years working as a contractor, distributor, educator, and consultant.

John was one of the founding members of the Michigan Irrigation Association, served in numerous positions on its Board including President, and worked on the committee that helped facilitate its merger with the Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association. He currently sits on the MNLA’s Irrigation Council.

In addition, John has assisted with the instruction of irrigation practices and procedures at both Lansing Community College and Michigan State University. During the course of his career, he has developed and/or assisted in the development of irrigation classes used throughout the industry.

John is a strong advocate of the benefits of turf and landscape irrigation and has tirelessly worked to build partnerships within the Green Industry to educate and promote knowledge, professionalism, and proper practices by practitioners at every level. He is currently active in efforts to educate and influence legislators and regulatory agencies on issues involving water use in the landscape.
