Dave Ploussard

Dave Ploussard is the Garden Center Manger at Hoerr Nursery, a family-owned, destination Garden Center, that has been located in Peoria, IL for 86 years. It is consistently ranked among Today’s Garden Center magazine’s 100 Most Revolutionary Garden Centers and Nursery Retailer’s Top 100 Garden Center in the country.

At the Nursery, Dave’s focus is to build a strong relationship-based, customer service-oriented Staff. In addition to staffing, his duties include profitability, inventory control, purchasing, and retail services. In recent years, Hoerr Nursery has been working to reduce the size and improve the layout of the garden center. In addition to training, I have worked with consultants to help address the layout and merchandising strategies for the store and sales yard.

Dave earned a B.S in Ornamental Horticulture from the University of Illinois, is a Certified Arborist, Registered Landscape Architect, Illinois Certified Nursery Professional, and Graduate of ANLA’s Garden Center University.
